Weekly Summary: Apr. 27-May 3

04-27-15
Mon-AM: 7 mi (1:02) // Edgewater Park
Predawn loops in the park before work. Still sick with something, but pleasant to run under a starry sky. Think I may have saw a shooting star too.

04-28-15
Tue-AM: 8 mi (1:08) // Fountain Lake
Easy loop around the lake before work. Quiet out, as usual.

04-29-15
Wed-PM: 5 mi (:45) // Lebanon Hills Regional Park
Exploratory run in a new park, in a possible target neighborhood for move back to Cities. Pretty short run, but I really like what I saw. Beautiful trails. And a beautiful sunny day in the +60Fs.

05-02-15
Sat-AM: 12 mi (1:48) // Myre-Big Island State Park
From the Visitor Center out to Big & Little Islands and then back over to the normal loop. Nice and sunny and warm. Mayflies may be starting to show up.

05-03-15
Sun-PM: 13 mi (1:44) // Blazing Star Trail
Out and back from the house. Suffered from poor planning on this one. Thought I'd head about for some tempo miles, but got hammered by the sun and heat. Definitely the hottest day of the year. 2 warm-up miles followed by 4 miles around a 7:00-min pace, but then backed off at the Myre-Big Visitor Center when I ran out of water in the bottle and felt weak. Managed to find a couple water fountains on the way back to stay hydrated, but definitely not heat acclimated yet! Still happy to get the miles in though.

Totals: 45.0 mi (6:27)
