As good as many of God's gifts are here on this present earth—and they are good and they are many, none of them compare with the gift of Himself and none of them will compare with what's on the next pages in God's story of redemption. Hasten the day!
Nonetheless, if I'm still around here in 100 years, I guess running marathons wouldn't be too bad of a thing. Maybe I'll have a fuller beard by then by which I can shuffle down Fauja Singh and his aging records, hopefully alongside Jordan Conn (my good friend & writer of this story):
THE PARTY WOULD BEGIN just as soon as the race ended. And the race would end just after Fauja Singh crossed the line in 3,851st place. By finishing then -- by finishing at all -- Fauja would do what no man before him had ever done. Amid the bundled and cheering crowd in Toronto, underneath a distended but gracious sky, he would complete a marathon. And he would do so at 100 years old.Catch the rest here.

"He will still run, though. 'The day I stop running,' he says, 'will be the day that I die.'"
Awesome.
