Weekly Summary: Apr. 13-19

Well, it looks like it's been basically a year since I last posted a summary of my weekly running adventures. I've continued to run, but have found it difficult to keep up the documentation. Life has been busy with new jobs, relocations, and new humans coming into the world. Plus, our technology on the home front has started to show some age, which has introduced some friction into the writing process. I do like writing though. It is a way of remembering. I have hope to do more in the days ahead - running, writing, remembering.

Mon: 0
A long daily commute (1.5 hrs each way) and an early start at work (7am) make weekday running virtually impossible if I chose to wake up after 3:30am. I chose sleep over running today.

Tue-AM: 7.0 mi (1:00) // Fountain Lake
Hello, 3am running. We meet again. You have your difficulties, but you have your beauties as well. Thanks for the low moonrise this morning with the surrounding fog and tree shadows. A great way to start the day. Will hopefully see you again tomorrow.

Wed: 0
Sleep.

04-16-15
Thu-AM: 6.0 mi // Fountain Lake
Out and back from the house before work (3:30a). Pleasantly warm with the cloud cover overhead at +54F. Essentials to early morning running: (1) set alarm, (2) get up, (3) get dressed, (4) get outside.

04-17-15
Fri: 0
Sleep.

04-18-15
Sat-AM: 20 mi (3:09) // Myre-Big Island State Park
Started at the Visitor Center and sorta ended up all over. Ran with the family for 3 miles in the middle on the bike path, otherwise all trails. Lots of animals out: snakes, white pelicans, orioles, ducks, geese - even saw a bald eagle. Really nice weather for April too. Hard to beat.

04-19-15
Sun-PM: 10.0 mi (1:36) // Edgewater Park
Grass loops from the house. Rainy and windy, in the low +50Fs.

Totals: 43.0 mi (6:31)
