Mon-PM: 7 mi (1:03) // Blazing Star Trail
Some easy miles after work. Legs understandably a bit sore from yesterday's quick(er) 17 mi (in 2:15), but began to loosen up after a mile or so. Happy to be out running.

Tue-PM: 8 mi (1:14) // Blazing Star Trail
Figure 8's around the plowed section of the path. I keep checking the snow on the connector "trail", but thus far have been disappointed each time to discover the white still covering up the black. Hopefully within the next two weeks the path will be passable to the state park. Come on, spring - Minnesota needs you . . .

Wed-PM: 8.5 mi (1:17) // Fountain Lake
Couple loops around the lake, from the house with Aaron E. Aaron was passing through town and stopped in for a run. Really good to catch up! Spending time with a fellow runner, especially one you like, has a was of lifting the soul. I won't see him at Zumbro next weekend (he's doing the 50 mi), but I have a feeling we'll be seeing a good bit of each other this year elsewhere. He's looking at Sawtooth again, and maybe Afton.

Fri-PM: 13 mi (1:53) // Fountain Lake
Loops round the lake, from the house. The after-work run is always tough cause I'm wore out from the day (and the week once Friday rolls around!), but managed to make it a full three loops. Think that gives me a 7-day total of 65.5 mi - starting to get there! The weather in Minnesota in March-April is crazy . . . white out conditions this morning on the way to work, sunny skies this afternoon for the run.

Sat-PM: 12 mi (1:27) // Blazing Star Trail
Loops along the north side of Albert Lea Lake: 3 mi w/u, 8 mi tempo (6:42, 6:36, 6:42, 6:40, 6:39, 6:39, 6:45, 6:40), 1 mi c/d. Had to dig a little the last two miles. Felt good otherwise. Really like the Nike LunaRacer+ 3's - my second time out in them. Loving this sunshine and warmer weather. Spring is almost here! The forecast for the next week looks promising . . .

Sun-PM: 20 mi (3:00) // Fountain Lake + BST + Myre-Big State Park
Started from the house and went out to Myre-Big State Park and back, via Fountain Lake and the Blazing Star Trail. This is probably the route I've been wanting to run most since moving to Albert Lea, but the snow has thus far prevented it. It's about 8.5 mi to the SP from my doorstep, though I could probably cut it to 7 mi if I tried hard (leaving more miles for the trails). All in all felt pretty good - longest run of the year to date! Trails in the state park seem relatively runnable - may give them a go next week.
