Well, last week, with a click of a button, I sent off my registration for the Superior 100 Mile trail race at the beginning of September. It will—without a doubt—be the longest, most difficult race I've ever attempted. The rough stats for the course profile are mind-boggling:
  • 103.3 miles on the Superior Hiking Trail (SHT) in the Sawtooth Mountains
  • 38 hours to make it to the finish
  • 42,000' of elevation change
I'm excited. As you can see above, every mile and every hour and every foot of elevation change will be across some of the most beautiful terrain in the country.

Let the training begin . . . or continue!

Here's a fun video from last year's event (first 10 mins are from the 100):

I know I expressed some hesitations before, but now that it's definitely a go I am *100*% behind you! :)
